Wits Continues Clean Out

17 July 2012 The Touchline Expert

The jostling in the Bidvest Wits changing room is not yet finished as Bradley Ritson (Striker, 30yrs) and Eduan Naude (Goalkeeper, 25yrs) were transfer listed by the club earlier this morning.

The players, however, remained optimistic as they broke the news on their Twitter accounts:

Ritson: “Not great news this morning.. Transfer listed!! Hopefully something comes up! #stayingpositive”

Naude: “Not the best way to start the day… Been transfer listed/released from Wits! Everything happens for a reason I guess #stayingpositive”

In an apparent reference to the club’s new signings, former Wits goalkeeper, Darren Keet (currently at KV Kortrijk in Belgium), questioned why De Sa, Ritson and Naude have been released in favour of “spending big money on big time Charlie’s”.

Wits have signed a number of players in this transfer window including Aaron Mokoena, Matthew Pattison, Tinashe Nengomasha and Ofentse Nato.

Last week, Wits appointed Habas as head coach after the club fired Roger de Sa during the off-season.
