Stadium: Nyayo National Stadium, Kenya
Final Score: Kenya (Oliech 73′ pen) 1-2 South Africa (Rantie 19′, Wekesa og 76′)

Bafana Bafana registered a win against Kenya in Nairobi on Tuesday evening. Nthethe, Sandilands and Rantie were the only changes that Gordon Igesund made to the team that lost 1-0 to Poland.

South Africa tried to move the ball around on the bumpy Nyayo stadium pitch but found it difficult to get a passing game flowing. Early in the first half, Tokelo Rantie timed his run beautifully to latch onto a through ball from Lerato Chabangu and scored the opening goal of the match. Bafana led the game until Bafana skipper, Bongani Khumalo, handled the ball in the box and handed the Kenyans a penalty which captain Oliech calmly slotted home to level matters. The “Harambee Stars” couldn’t celebrate for long as Bernard Parker forced Wekesa to concede an own goal 3 minutes later in the game.
